Its a plug, quality was good, would have been nice if it was fitted for you if you spec that option but other than that all good.

I was recommended R-Tech by a friend, well truth be told I was sent a link to a doubleboost YouTube video reviewing the R-Tech MIG181, I immediately knew this was the welder i really needed in my life, for many years I?d used an SIP migmate 150 and never been able to get the settings just right, I couldn?t believe how the MIG181 was so compact and user friendly, once you get it and start playing it?s even better than the reviews say, so easy to set up, in fact there?s not really any setting up you just punch in your preferences and away you go, work right first time everytime, I took it to work to help out with some fabrication and vehicle repairs and it?s flawless, I haven?t even used it with gas yet,

Plugs looks OK and will hopefully take a bash or two in the workshop. Time will tell.

Fitted to tig welder

The plug is not going to fall apart when bashed about or dropped.

The plug was fine. Changing the tig welder for a mig welder, because my grandson's instructor thought that it would be better for him, was an act of much-appreciated kindness.

Reasonably robust

Wiring the flex to the plug was quite tricky as the wire is thick and the plug space inside limited.

I opted for a 16amp plug in the end and not the plug supplied. However the plug seems of a decent quality should I want to use it in the future.

Used to connect cutter to 13A mains supply.

Essential to safely connect the 240v supply. A normal plug won't do it as the heavy duty wires are too bulky.

I will use the Plasma cutter for cutting 3mm steel plate, I would recommend this cutter to anyone who want's to cut metal including art work The quality is excellent as you would expect from RTech.

Has anyone at R-Tech (especially your managing director) has ever tried to put a 13amp plug on to a MIG180 machine cable? If you have you, would know how difficult it is to do so, due to the HUGE size of the cable; the cable is obviously for a 3 phase plug and not a 13amp one. Asking your customers to perform this herculean task is a step too far. Either you put the 13amp plug on before delivery, or change the cable to a smaller size to make fitting the plug by customers a much simpler task. Thank you!

Some might say a plug is a plug, but repeated drops and moving around a workshop tends to put greater wear and tear on what is a vital component for safe reliable welding sessions. The plug is well made and worth having when setting up a new system.

Only a hobby welder and have not used the new machine as yet, I would recommend this machine to,any hobbyists, the quality of machine and materials is fairly good, not the best but good value for the money and with a three year warranty excellent.

The plug that turned up was infact heavy duty and would easily stand up to being dropped on a daily basis if that was the case. Fitting the main wires in the plug was a little fiddly due to the heavy duty wire and tight little maze in the plug but all in all it's on and does the job intended

diy race car build. i would recommend the product to serious diy fabricators. not had full use of it but so seems a good welder i upgraded from a ** machine which was hard to find a good setting and like your easy set up.

Looks pretty heavy duty and safe. Appreciate the wires are cut and prepped for the 3 phase which meant we've wrapped the end in electrical tape as didn't want to ruin a good job... Wires don't fit in the single phase plug as prepped. Would be nice if could be prepped to fit as per order.

This is a standard plug available from B&Q or Screwfix, but having it supplied did mean I didn't have to go buy one. The mains lead on the welder is a little too heavy for the plug, but it does fit eventually. Have the plug pre-fitted would of been a nice touch.

Should be included with the package, not a separate purchase.

Plug is good quality. Only criticism is I'd recommend adding some ferrules with it. Most people without an electrical background would not know to use them but given the amount of power the welder uses they should.

I use for light welding, in shop and out and about any light or mobile user At present it looks to be a good machine with good features and simple to set up

We use the plasma cutter for steel sheet between 3mm and 6mm thickness, some old sheet (has rust etc, most new, on our canal plant (barges) and on new steel for plant modifications

Whilst I have no problem wiring a three pin plug I feel it would have been better/nicer to have had it done by *** prior to despatch but it's no big deal. The plug itself is sturdy and thoroughly fit for purpose.

While I appreciate that this was included with my welder for free, I really can't see why the plug is listed as 'Heavy Duty'! I thought the internals and quality would be particularly special for this price, but they are in fact very basic and standard. I use MK plugs (e.g. MK 655BLK 13 Amp) that are far better quality than this one and cost me the same price!

The 13amp plug is ok for thin gauge and short welding times, I prefer to connect mine using a PCE 32amp plug.

If your using 13amps, you will need this plug as the feed gauge wires are large. They wouldn't fit into a normal 13amp plug safely

The Heavy Duty 13A plug is ideal for the Power Lead. The size of conductors means that there is little or no room for error and they must be cut off to different sized lengths to be accommodated into their respective terminals.

It may be just a 13amp plug, but as an electrical engineer, a plug is not a plug no matter what, when you look at some of the cheap products on the market. This was not one of those. Well made, and easily connected with the 2.5mm flex on the machine, and reflects the whole quality of the purchase.

Some reviewers said it wasn't possible to fit the thick wires into this plug. It is perfectly possible, I have the Tig 161 and as long as you cut the wires exactly to length the plug will fit perfectly and the cable sheath clamp will grip as intended. It is a snug fit, but no normal plug I have owned would have taken this cable.

You'll need this for the welder if you're going to run it off a 13A supply. It's a good quality robust plug and it can take the ultra thick wires that the welder comes with, even the cord grip can get round the flex outer

I was taking chances with cheapo plugs from my local diy store.

I have fitted more 13A plugs than I care to mention, I have always favoured Duraplug but the quality has sadly gone well down and I could hardly tighten the cable clamp screws as they are so badly formed. I managed in the end but not impressed
