Mig 180 inverter welder is great value for money.and much better than my old mighty mig. I was recommended this product by a Friend and I tried his before I bought mine I first saw them at the NEC and kept putting it off. wish I hadn't. I use it most weeks in my business and so far its been fine and easy to use welds 4mm plate no trouble.

Feeds nicely, havn't actaly had Any birdnesting issues with these rolls. dont know if thats the wire or i've managed to fluke the tension just right. Runs well though, will buy again.

Excellent, I ran out of wire and switched to a new *** (machine mart) roll, I couldn't ***! no matter what settings I used it just wouldn't produce a nice fillet. A quick call to R-Tech, a new roll installed and straight back to perfect ***s. Many thanks. Very happy customer. I can't rate this wire highly enough.

Nice 0.8 wire which was easy to load into the welder. Have already used quite a bit of it with no jams or slippage.

I?ve been using *** and Halfords 0.8 wire till now, and in my opinion the r-tech supplied wire is definitely better quality!

Welds cleanly with (surprisingly) very little splatter, cuts cleanly with side-cutters, and runs through the lead cable very smoothly and quietly.

If I was desperate to be critical I would say it was over-packaged. The wire in a box being placed in another box with plastic foam seems a little excessive for wire that can?t really be damaged. But I?m being nit picky!

The product is great! It is really useful for the cleaner sculptures I make. I normally use arc welding off my inverter but I use the mig for my sheet metal work.

Don?t be deceived by the small size, this is an inverter welder so doesn?t have the bulk or weight of the old transformer units. It also produces much better welds all round. It looks to be very well built and uses very modern electronics, not like the 1st generation inverters that used cheap MOSFET transistors. The feed rollers are also very good quality and (unlike cheaper units) it also has the standard Euro fitting torch which means you can use your favourite welding torch, not that the supplied unit needs replacing, quite the opposite, it?s excellent. Having the Euro socket also means this unit can do scratch start TIG if that?s your thing. The final icing on the cake is the MMA stick welding function. This is super handy if you weld outside and it?s a bit windy. It?s also dead handy for large section steel, where MIG would just be a waste of gas. Very highly recommended, this replaces a Lincoln 3 phase unit I had and it?s all round a better welder. You can also carry it with one hand whereas rolling the Lincoln around was a pain, it was huge. This thing can be put in the boot of even the smallest car which makes welding just about anywhere really simple. If you need a more powerful unit the 250 amp one is very similar but this one is more than capable for all car based stuff, even on a 13 amp plug. To give an idea of the power, the 180 amp unit on the 16 amp supply can easily blow holes in 3mm mild steel. Awesome. The infinitely variable current and wire speed make getting it perfect a breeze. None of those 6 fixed settings on this, just pure quality.
