Air Compressor Fiac Workhorse 3HP 100L 13CFM 240V

Used in a commercial fabrication workshop with a P50 plasma cutter. Wasn't sure which size compressor to buy but this has been fine. First job used the plasma cutter all day for about 10 days, and both the compressor and plasma cutter worked perfectly.

Misleading delivery dates, no pallet delivery tracking. Compressor is different to what is advertised on the R-Tech web page. I asked whether it came with a 16A main plug, I was told it did, it arrived without one. The FIAC manual says it requires a 16A connection, the R-Tech spec says 13A. The R-Tech spec says it has a 1/2" BSP female outlet, it does have a unregulated 1/2 port but the actual main regulated outlet is 1/4 BSP male. The mains cable provided is too short for my installation and when I finally get it wired up the flimsy air cut-off tap was leaking air from the tap spindle. I contacted *** in Manchester (the manufacturer) who passed me onto the field service engineer. He said that the compressor would require to be returned for repair, I discussed the problem with him and I replaced the o-seal on the spindle myself. He also confirmed that the 1/2" BSB is the best outlet to me used not the 1/4" one. I have now purchased a 1/2" PCL regulator and Dropout water filet to use this outlet for my pasta cutter. I've also replaced the flimsy 1/4" tap valve for a quarter turn paddle valve to quickly isolate this output. The compressor is now the way I want it and finally very happy with it, it's quiet in use and seems quite efficient. If you look at the illustrated compressor ion the R-Tech web site it doesn't match what is provided.

Top quality item. Does everything i need and more with ease.

The instruction manual could be better especially for a novice who has little experience in setting it up. It isn't easy to understand if you're not a technical person and the diagrams and explanation could be better. I'm sure it's a very good product but instructions are lacking.

Fiac compressor is excellent and fully working, well made too, a bit disappointed with delivery though, but was told it was delivery truck breakdown, also asked the driver, he said the same. It did come well packed on a pallet though, although the pallet was not standard size.

Used for industrial use for plasma cutting. So for so good, the quality looks really good

use this with my plasma p50 much quieter than my old compressor
