R-Tech Pro Foot Pedal for Tig Welders 4M cable

This unit works well and is a boon to someone learning

Honestly, it was a curiosity, I wanted to tinker with TIG and the experience has been delightful.

Pedal works fine but the spring is rather strong and the action not as smooth as I would have liked

Was recomended to me, have been playing with it now for a while, I can see why.

Solid, well-built kit, nice details, should last a lifetime despite me regularly treading on it?

It is difficult for me to rate the foot pedal as I have never used one in the past so have nothing to compare it with. It does what do what I expected and the operation feels smooth.

Most of my work is away from my bench so the 4m lead is an asset. The pedal is the right size for me and has the perfect tension to operate to the tolerances i want.

Not yet tried this out but it's a sturdy piece of equipment and has a smooth and positive movement, so I have every confidence that it will live up to expectations. I will update this after putting the pedal through it's paces.

If my control the arc improves by using the pedal, the all will be good with the world

The r-tech tig pedal works really well , has a smooth action and keeps the arch stable during welding . My first pedal was purchased with my welder in ** and lasted until now , I believe the pedal itself is still ok but the cable ** but it?s used in sometimes quite a harsh environment. I would recommend this product to anyone who enjoys welding as it works as it should and for the time it has served , I?d say it?s great value for money .

As many others have noted, the hinge pin didn't survive the packing / journey and had become disengaged in transit. Easily and quickly fixed but would seem easy to fix the design in the first place.

The moving part of the pedal had popped off the base in transit but it was the work of moments to put it back on. The pivot bolts seem a little short, barely holding the pedal together so I hope that it does not come off in use.

Tig Welder. Seems good quality

Ordered for my AC/DC161 TIG welder and despite checking this when ordering, it has the wrong sex connector. Also as stated earlier the box was slightly damaged and the pedal was apart but clicked back ok the issue is that there was almost nothing to stop it bouncing around in the box so was easily damaged. I have photo's but the main issue is that it doesn't fit the machine and I am past the return date. Really unhappy.

The potentiometer was so stiff the mechanism was very slow to return. Consequently lifting off of the pedal would release the micro switch and stop the arc mid ***. A little lubrication to the potentiometer rectified the problem.

Just getting use to having a throttle.....

Very much a beginner, but tried this for a short while and it seemed so much easier to use than the switch on the handle of the torch. Seems good and robust, although I am concerned about the life of the cable which is not protected.

A quality pedal I wouldn't be without, it took a bit of getting used too at first but well worth the investment.

Personally. Much more feel and control parameters appear to be much wider . Not as much of a light switch action as my old supplied pedal. Very impressed. Helped my ** welding ability within 10 mins. . .

Foot pedal is robust and sensitive to use - really good!! The cable plug into the welder feels cheap and the inner insert with connector pins was loose on delivery. There are better plug sockets out there but not a big deal as you?re not unplugging it much.....

If you are buying a TIG set make sure to buy the foot pedal with it ! I think it might be the biggest aid to TIG welding after the gas.

I mess about with it and make lots of stuff for motorbikes, not got to the foot pedal yet I thought I'd try and grasp the basics first, if you can fly a helicopter then i'm sure this will be a walk in the park. I have never used a foot pedal before but it is amazingly good quality and a good weight so you are not chasing it around. It is very smooth in operation even for a novice like me. First class.

The pedal has a nice action but sadly the rubber pads on the bottom don?t stop it from sliding across the floor on occasion. Better anti slip on the under side would make this product much better

The foot pedal is extremely easy to strike up an arc when one's hands are full ! The control over the Base Current is easily controlled by the amount of depression of the pedal. I thought this part of the process would be extremely difficult to master but in practice it isn't.

I love variable foot pedals, so much more control. Recommend for anyone, I did move the pedal on the floor with my foot and the top came off, could do with a little more engagement at the pivot points, that said it was easy to reassemble

Although I have been gas, stick, and mig welding for most of my working life as a truck mechanic (50 years) Tig is all new to me and after a few practice attempts using the torch switch I was most impressed with the foot pedal and surprised how much easier it made everything

I've been using this on my TIG welding setup for thin aluminium (1.6mm). Excellent, sturdy foot pedal with very good sensitivity for controlling the amount of heat going into the metal which is crucial ***!

The foot pedal greatly assists welding and delicate tasks, delivery was next day and sorting-out the correct plug was done without fuss. The foot pedal is robustly made with ample control lead and works well with the R-Tech Tig set.

I needed a new foot pedal for my TIG251. I ordered on line. Pedal arrived two days later. Business as usual. It must have taken about 30 minutes, maximum, of my time. No stress, quick and easy.
