Too early to tell other that the throw of the pedal is pretty small so even with the amperage set as low as I can the pedal still feels quite sensitive

Now here's a proper foot pedal, big and heavy with anti slip stuff on top and bottom but very responsive and smooth to operate, an essential part of a tig welder set up. Highly recommended.

Excellent product

The size and spring loading of this pedal has made a big difference to my welding technique. Much less fatigue after prolonged use and a real feeling of precision and accuracy. It also seems to be very robust to cope with a workshop environment.

Bought this to replace the R-tech Pro pedal ( which has worked perfectly ) but find this pedal so much easier on the ankle due to the large footprint and VERY smooth action. Build quality appears excellent and it is a lot lower than the R-Tech Pro model. In my opinion well worth the modest increase in price. Use it with my R-Tech Tig200DV-PD 200 Welder. Another great product. No hesitation in recommending either of these products to anybody. Buy one you wont regret it.

After seeing reviews on foot pedals on Youtube i was expecting something a bit industrial, this pedal works really smoothly and being able to adjust the power during the *** is seamless.

Works really well, has a really good feel to it, the pedal has a good smooth operation, I also like the fact it’s compact and a good ergonomic shape so your foot is at suitable angle when standing at a bench welding.

Initially I thought the pedal would not get much use as it was not included in the deal but I was advised I would eventually need one. Having unboxed it I initially thought it was big and cumbersome and decided to give it a try as the torch trigger tends to take concentration away from keeping a steady grip. All I can say is if you're reading this and think you'll never use it and it's a bit of a luxury purchase, you'll regret not getting one! Seriously this is like having another hand on stand by, yes it is a fair size and yes there is another cable ** on the floor but once you take it for a spin you won't regret having it in your kit. It is soon appreciated on those awkward welds and since I plugged mine in it has stayed plugged in. I will soon be adding a CP9 switchless torch to my line up for those awkward spaces as the foot pedal takes care of amperage control whilst I concentrate on the job in hand. I would definitely recommend this as an essential bit of kit to be added to your purchase. It is well made and appears to be very robust with a grip foot surface, I can't comment on durability as I've not had mine long but if/when it wears out, I'm getting another!

Light Tig work. SSC make good pedals that are very smooth through entire range.

Home use - making panels for vehicle restoration. Haven't used the pedal extensively yet but seems very well made and so far it has worked perfectly .

To control the amount of power to weld components, just like a car accelerator pedal, further you press down the more power, less acceleration, less power. Good for beginner to experienced welder. From first visual, very good quality component.

Foot pedal is probably one of the best on the market. This is the opinion of an absolute beginner who has watched hundreds of how to TIG weld videos. It really does make all the difference

Not having used a TIG welder before this purchase I have only ever used it with the foot pedal and have found it very easy to use and are already able to control the weld pool easily using the pedal. Only problem is that my brother (A TIG Welder for 20 Years) has tried the foot pedal (having never used one before) and is looking to nick it!!! (Luckily we've learned he needs a 14 pin socket Foot Pedal so it''s safe, phew!).

Use this with the AC/DC 170 R-Tech welder, it works very well and feels like good quality.

Its a nicely built pedal. As with all TIG pedals one wonders about how the RRP is justified given the lack of complexity in the device itself. Still, this pedal is a nice one and it came included in the price of the welder, so no complaints here. only 4* because of the perhaps slightly cheeky RRP (although I've seen other rather similar looking TIG pedals at twice that cost on other websites...!)

Foot pedal works great. Does exactly as it says. Perfect for aluminium welding and is a must in my opinion. The only thing that I have never understood is to why they are always so expensive especially when you notice that it's just a spring loaded box fitted with a 30 pence potentiometer.

Comes free with the R-Tech TIG set. If money was no object, I’d still buy this. It’s my favourite pedal, not too bulky, smooth action, you can’t go wrong. It’s what makes a TIG set for me, all the control and no excuses for a poor weld :)

I got this foot pedal with my new TIG210 AC/DC digital. It is of a solid construction with a non slip contact plate and the effort required to move it is no more than that of a guitar FX pedal. This makes amperage control so much easier than my old pedal. I would highly recommend this product.

Im a full time professional fsbricator welder using the pedal daily The product would be a great addition to any one using an r tech tig plant as there is great control of amperages and a light feel to the pedal. The ssc foot pedal is very well made with excellent grip and with a wide platform for foot placement it has made modulating the welding amps easier resulting in better heat control and excellent results Very pleased with the purchase
