I haven't got round to using the smaller torch but it looks well made

Bought to go with the TIG makes smaller jobs easier as you get to see more of the job.

Quick delivery and wrapped well . Easy to fit and worked as it should .

Bought this as an alternative to my W26 torch, for work on 0.8mm steel and 1mm aluminium. Noticably smaller in size, much lighter and with a more flexble hose making it easier to handle. Build quality seems identical to the W26 which has given good service so hopefully it will last. No doubt the 'pro' grade torches are better yet, but for this amateur it's more than sufficient.

I was hopeing the torch itself was smaller than my 17, i know that a WP9 refers to the internal bore size for the diffuser etc but was also hopeing that the torch would be lighter and smaller like the miller range of torches.

Nice torch for smaller jobs where I don’t need the capacity of my WP26 torch.

I ordered a wp9 torch for some delicate welds that have restricted access. I returned the torch because it was no where near the size of a wp9, the body was exactly the same size as the wp17 torch I received with my 210ext when I purchased it.

I opted for this torch as it wasn't included in the deal. As my main material requirement is mid way for the capability of the machine I thought that the WP9 would be a good choice for size and required amperage required. The torch came with a small accessory kit to get it working, cups, collets and tungsten's. I found the torch to be great for the smaller jobs but still quite weighty when trying to keep a good steady torch for AC welding which leads to the inevitable 'Dip' into the pool destroying the electrode. This said with some practice you can maintain a reasonable arc at higher amperages but I still struggle on the low amperage side and thinner materials. I feel that a CK9 switchless torch will be of more help in this area but the WP9 will be a mainstay torch for a good few jobs. I believe the saying is 'Each to their own' Quality is good with a sturdy feel but as this has had little use so far I couldn't comment on durability though I suspect that fi used clumsily i.e. dropped to the floor the weight will cause damage to the head and especially the cup, this said those item are fair game for normal use anyway. My observation would be when using 'Pyrex' cups you need to be aware of this weight as it may result in a few more shopping trips? I would like to say I'd recommend this torch however I currently don't have a CP9 to compare it to so I'd have to sit on the fence here. In general though, I would definitely recommend buying a smaller torch for your welder to take advantage of the full range of capability, you'd be foolish not to.

Good quality, not yet used but broadens the usefulness of the TIG welder.

In retrospect I'm not sure I really needed the smaller torch at this stage but it all works as it should and it should be easier to use it tight jobs.

Bought this for lower Amp jobs where more control required and to help improve my technique. Very happy that I did.

Having read extensively what type of torch suits what purpose i chose to purchase a smaller torch as much of what I planned to do would not require a full 200 amps. The smaller size of this torch makes it perfect for my sub 100 amp welding needs.

I use this product for sheet metal welding, it’s lighter than my normal tig26 and more user friendly, I would recommend this product and I’m happy with it, quality is excellent too.

Nice and small, just what I needed, able to get into tight spots. My only wish is that it could do with a half length back cap (is there such a thing ?)

Nice feel to this torch, with good flexible sheath on cables.

Got thisfor low current work upto 100amps. It's light and easy to manouver and the flex head make getting the ideal angle/position easy. The torch seems to be well made and expect it to last providing it's not over stressed with higher than rated current!

Can't beat it for the price, and fits straight on there TIG sets with nothing else needed. Even comes with some collets, collet body’s and a few ceramics idea for the amps you’d be using this for. I added this to my order as an R-Tech WP26 came with the TIG set and that was a little big for some of the projects I’d be doing. It’s a must have sized torch for me and couldn’t be happier with it, nice, well made and fully cable covered. Basically everything you could want.

Only used it a few times and the handle seems a bit chunky but nice and light! Hopefully get used to it.

Finally got to use the new tig, works very well with all the functions. Great service from R-Tech
