SSC Foot Pedal for Thermal Arc & Esab TIG Welders - 8pin plug 5K POT

I am a hobby art metal welding sculptor (as well as other welding for domestic use!). My TIG welding was not to the standard I wanted as I found using the controls on the hand torch difficult to master. The SSC foot pedal is a huge improvement and my TIG skills have taken a huge boost (my TIG machine is ESAB) and a big saving on the ESAB pedal which I did consider too. The pedal is very smooth and controllable (even with my arthritis), great quality and big enough for the biggest of feet and footwear too. No slippage on the pedal at all with its coating. For all TIG art welders I can recommend it, especially where you want a range of weld temperature for any colour effects. I am working on a stainless steel owl at present, all made from 13mm washers - the SSC pedal has made progress much quicker and I can concentrate more now on the shape and flow of the metal and use both hands more successfully than with torch controls. I read all the reviews I could find and have yet to find one that is not happy with either SSC or the UK supplier R-Tech so glad I found them too.

I am a hobby welder ! Personal car restoration & projects around my garden & garage / workshop. My first experience of using a pedal control with TIG welder - previously using torch switch ! I would recommend this pedal control to any one who is serious about their TIG welding as it gives your hands more freedom & control ! A well made & robust piece of equipment ! I just wish the Thermal Arc welder had High Frequency start & gas control capabilities to go with the pedal !
